The waves on this particular day were incredibly soothing. The horizon was barely visible, muted tones to be seen all round and the most wonderful spray flying from each wave. I think it is such a treat to see these fleeting colours a wave will show off, as the light breaks through the water.

Wave watching wakes up the senses; the smell of the sea from all the droplets of sea being thrown into the air, the spray on your face as the waves break against the cliffs, the snippets of colour to be found at the very moment a wave curls and breaks, the salt on your lips and the roar of the immense, crashing sea.
